Changing Your Downloads & Data Settings

If you prefer, you can change the settings associated with downloads and data for {{#tlo}}Transparent Language Online{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}the CL-150{{/rr5}} on this device. If you use {{#tlo}}Transparent Language Online{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}the CL-150{{/rr5}} on more than one device, you can have separate settings on each device.

To change your settings for downloads and data:

If you are not already on the Downloads & Data screen, go there by {{#web}}clicking{{/web}}{{^web}}tapping{{/web}} Downloads & Data on the App Settings screen.
If you want to the data necessary to use the app offline to be automatically downloaded, set the Auto-Download for Offline switch to . This data includes general offline capability files, as well as your personal Learned Vocab data (for use with the Refresh activity and the Hands-Free Autoplay).
If you only want data to to be downloaded when you are connected to Wi-Fi, set the Download on Wi-Fi Only switch to . With this setting, data for offline use will only be downloaded when you're connected to Wi-Fi, not using cellular data.

At any time, you can also{{#phone}} tap Goal to check your goal progress, tap to display your notifications, or tap Menu and{{/phone}} do any of the following:

Select SWITCH TO DESKTOP SITE to display the desktop version of this site instead of the mobile version. Be aware that some features may be difficult to use on a mobile device in this mode.
Select your username in the menu, then do any of the following:{{#tlo}} Select Profile to view or edit your user profile.{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}} Select Account Options to change your account options.{{/rr5}} Select Change Language to change the learning language. Select App Settings to change settings associated with this app on this device. Select Log Out to log out of the program. (These options may not all be available for all accounts.)

Select Goals in the menu to go to the Goals screen, where you can view information on your daily learning goal, streaks, and shields{{#rr5}}, as well as any weekly or monthly learning requirements set for you by a reporting group administrator{{/rr5}}. Select Learned Vocab in the menu to go to the Learned Vocab screen, where you can view and refresh your learned vocab. Consult Managing Learned Vocab for details.

Select Practice in the menu to go to the Practice screen, where you can choose activities to work with. Consult Choosing Content for Activities for details.
Select Hands-Free Autoplay in the menu to learn and review vocabulary without the need to interact with the screen. Consult Choosing Content for Hands-Free Autoplay for details. (This option may not be available for all accounts.)

Depending on your language, you may find Facebook communities, Twitter feeds, culture blogs, Word of the Day services, proficiency tests, and more. Consult Using the Resources Screen for details. (Not all languages have additional resources.)
Tap in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, then select App Settings from the drop-down menu to return to the main App Settings screen. Consult Changing app settings for details.
Click KidSpeak in the top navigation bar to open the KidSpeak application. (This feature is not available for all languages.)
Click Authoring in the top navigation bar to make or edit your own lessons for use in the CL-150 Learning Application. Consult Authoring Lessons for details. (This option may not be available for all accounts.)

Consult the mini goal-tracker in the top navigation bar to check how close you are to completing your daily learning goal{{#rr5}}, as well as any weekly or monthly learning requirements set for you by a reporting group administrator. If you have more than one goal, the tracker will rotate between them{{/rr5}}. Consult Understanding Learning Goals and Streaks{{#rr5}} and Understanding Learning Requirements{{/rr5}} for details.

Click Mobile Access in the upper right-hand part of the screen to display information on the mobile app associated with this program. (This option may not be available for all accounts.)
If you are logged in as an instructor or an administrator, click Learning Portal in the upper right-hand part of the screen and choose Instructor Portal or Admin Portal to access either of those portals. (These options may not be available for all accounts.)
Select Learning Language in the menu to change the language you are learning{{#tlo}}, if you have access to more than one language{{/tlo}}.
Click in the upper right-hand part of the screen, then do any of the following: Select {{#tlo}}Profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}Account Options{{/rr5}} to {{#tlo}}view or edit your user profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}change your account options{{/rr5}}, download completion certificates, and more. Select Change Language to change the learning language. Select Interface Options to change the interface language. Select Switch to Mobile Site to display the mobile version of this site instead of the desktop version. Select Log Out to log out of the program. (These options may not all be available for all accounts.)
Tap your username in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to {{#tlo}}view and edit your user profile{{/tlo}}{{#rr5}}change your account options{{/rr5}} or log out of the program.{{#tlo}} (In offline mode, profiles can only be viewed, not edited.) If you are using a trial account, the menu under your username will also tell you how many days remain in your trial.{{/tlo}}
Click in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to display your notifications. A number or an exclamation point will appear beside the icon if new notifications have been added since the last time you checked. Consult Managing Notifications for details.
